SIGNIS ASIA ASSEMBLY 2024 (SAA2024)

Monday 23 September 2024 (arrival) – Friday 27 September 2024 (departure)

Study Days:  Tuesday 24 September to Thursday 26 September
Business Day: Friday 27 September

Welcome to the SIGNIS ASIA Assembly in Tokyo, Japan from 23-27 September 2024. We are thrilled to unveil our theme for this significant gathering: “Human Communication in the Digital World for a Culture of Peace.” Inspired by the poignant message of Pope Francis on World Communication Day, under the theme “Artificial Intelligence and the Wisdom of the Heart: Towards a Fully Human Communication”, we aim to delve deeply into the intersection of technology, humanity, and peace.

Against the backdrop of Japan’s rich cultural heritage and technological innovation, we invite you to join us as we explore the profound impact of digital communication on shaping a world of harmony and understanding. Prepare to engage in insightful discussions, connect with like-minded individuals, and contribute to the collective vision of fostering peace through the power of human connection in the digital age. Stay tuned for more updates on this transformative journey towards a culture of peace and inclusivity. Welcome to Japan!

About the SAA2024 Logo

Even in the age of AI, it is important to have something that has a tactile feel, a realistic touch. In the logo, we have used the style of the “Mizuhiki” a type of cloth unique to Japan. The “Mizuhiki” in the SIGNIS ASIA ASSEMBLY Logo is decorated with SIGNIS colours and with computer-like chips placed on it. The gathering and overlapping of multiple strings represents the connection between people and a culture of peace. It also appears as a symbol of infinity, and we use this motif as indicating the infinite possibilities of technology and humanity. As a shadow for the logo, its  color scheme is reminiscent of a gaming computer. This gaming color is often seen at computer stores in Japan, but in this logo, it is used to represent diversity.
